Isn’t that what betting is all about. You are continually hopeful that you just can get a thing for practically nothing, or at least incredibly little. In the fantastic state of Montana they have these wonderful little equipment, known as keno machines. These keno products are everywhere, and the places that these equipments reside are named "betting houses". I put betting houses is quotes because they are not casinos like you feel of gambling dens. You will discover no table game or slot machine devices, just video poker and keno machines. In any case, I managed to get myself roped in to the dream of winning a few hundred bucks in a sitting. The next point I knew I was going back to these equipments pretty much daily. After a few months of this I recognized that no one really wins. Oh sure, you might win $50 here and there, but over span of time your just feeding the products five dollar bills like they were candy.
I was able to check myself and I don’t even go into the "gambling establishments" any more. I have met people who honestly almost lost everything they’ve playing the stupid keno machines. The thing that gets me about this kind of betting could be the fact that gambling establishments will advertise on the radio that they’ve an 85 per-cent payback rate. This may be the rate because it is mandated by law. A eighty-five per-cent payback rate sounds wonderful, but when you believe about it this basically means that in case you place $1 into the machines it gives 85 cents back . That is how it works. Just believe of it as a reverse ATM. When I started thinking of wagering in these terms, I stopped.
