Cambodia Gambling Dens

December 21st, 2016 at 5:25

There is an interesting history to the Cambodia casinos that reside just across the border from next door Thailand, in which gambling hall wagering is not allowed. Eight gambling dens are situated in a generally small space in the municipality of Poipet in Cambodia. This group of Cambodia gambling halls is in an excellent spot, a 3 to four hour travel from Bangkok and Macao, the two biggest gambling centers in Asia. Cambodia gambling dens do a huge business with Thai laborers and travelers from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with only very few Westerners. The phenomenal capital accrued from the gambling dens ranges from 7.5 million dollars to more than twelve and a half million dollars, and there are a number of limitations constraints for gambling den ownership. Ownership is required to be mainly Thai; however, financing sources are ambiguous. The borders are ceremoniously open from 09:00 to 17:00, and although visas are allegedly necessary to pass, there are methods around this, as is accurate of many borders.

The initial Cambodia gambling dens premiered in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were required to close in the late nineties, leaving just one casino in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a stationary boat casino, features 150 slot machine games and 60 gaming tables. The Naga gambling hall is open 24 hours with 42 tables of mini-baccarat, 4 tables of vingt-et-un, ten of roulette, 2 of Caribbean Stud Poker, and a single table each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The 1st gambling den in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in the late nineties and the Golden Crown quickly followed. A total of one hundred and fifty slots and 5 tables at the Golden Crown and one hundred and four one armed bandits and sixty eight gaming tables at the Holiday Palace. The latest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort contains three hundred slot machines and 70 gaming tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slot machine games and 96 gaming tables, including 87 punto banco (the most popular game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. In addition, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five slots and 66 of the familiar gaming tables, as well as 1 table of Casino Stud Poker. Another one of the 8 casinos in Poipet, again a part of a hotel, is the Princess Casino with one hundred and sixty six slot machine games and 97 table games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in an all-around vacation and hotel complex that contains many amenities in addition to the gambling den, which contains 10,000 square feet of 130 slot machine games and 88 table games.
